My gastric bypass surgery is done! Now, I have a stomach the size of an egg! So, as the title says, “It’s An Egg!”
It took quite a while for me to come our of the anesthesia, and the pain when I would move at all was some of the worst pain I have ever felt. Thankfully, after about 4 hours, I was able to get up and walk, and can adjust my position in my hospital bed without the horrible pain from this afternoon.
I do not get to eat or drink anything until tomorrow morning. So, to give me relief from the constant cotton mouth that I am feeling, they gave me some sponge swabs that I dip in water and rub around the inside of my mouth. I love those swabs!
Right now, I’m here in my hospital bed watching college football, writing this blog post, and thinking I may be falling asleep soon. So, on that note, I’ll say good night. Thank you to all of you who read and follow my Journey To Health. I’m grateful for you, love you all, and pray that even one person is blessed for reading about my journey.
