One of the challenges of post-bariatric surgery eating is finding the right high protein, lean foods that are needing to properly fuel the body, and promote the expected weight loss. The fact that in the past week, I have not lost any weight got me examining what I am eating and drinking. It caused me to remember what was told to Sharon and I in my pre-op class just a couple of months ago: “If you stop losing weight, make sure you are getting your 60-80 grams of protein per day, and the right amount of calories. If you don’t, you will stop losing the weight.”
So, this morning, as I lie here awake, I did a little research on lean, high protein foods. HERE is the link to an article I found that gives a good overview of some of the best options for lean, high protein foods. The title of the article is “Top 13 Lean Protein Foods You Should Eat”.
I hope this helps you with making the right choices in your daily meal planning to help promote healthy weight loss and a healthy lifestyle over all.
